Religious School meets on Sundays, 10 am to noon for Temple Tots through Hebrew High. The curriculum begins with an introduction to the synagogue and holidays and continues with Bible Stories, mitzvot, history and ethics. Art, drama, and music are often added to lessons in order to reach students with varied learning styles. Students gather often in the synagogue with Rabbi Shinder to learn new songs, hear a story, or prepare for a holiday. In addition to Religion on Sunday, students in third - seventh grades are required to attend Hebrew School on Thursdays from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Students begin with learning the Hebrew Alep Bet and continue to master the reading and chanting of prayers. Some Modern Hebrew is introduced to students in the upper level classes.
